I am a veteran who has recently returned home to Cartersville. I am a full time student looking to build on my post-military life. I am looking to move into the city and have had trouble doing so utilizing my VASH voucher. The only willing owners reside in high crime areas. Many other owners have a skewed perception and view voucher recipients as Section 8 trash, however, I am an upstanding citizen who has fought for my country and is simply looking to move into the city to be closer to my school. I should not be frowned upon because the VA is willing to help me do so.
