I am looking for a welder who has experience welding auto sheet metal. I am more concerned about quality than price, because this car that you will be welding on is a 1999 Mercedes c280 that I drive daily and plan to keep.

This car is very rust prone because Mercedes "cheapened" the steel that was used to build the car...it does not have a lot of rust, there is several square inches of metal that is missing from the bottom of the left front door that will have to be added or welded in, also there is a small occurance of rust through at the right front fender (it's about 3 or 4 square inches), I also want to have two new rear arches installed, the one at the left is about 25% missing, plus there is a hole in the door jamb from rust through. This particular hole is about a half an inch wide and about 3 inches long.

My sedan runs well so that is why I want to keep it. I bought it last year knowing that it was going to need a lot of work because the previous owners had it for 11 years and neglected it.

While I am serious about this I have not the slightest clue as to what this job will cost. I am willing to leave the car at a shop for a couple of days if you do not have a mobile service AND your price is very good.

The biggest reason I want the door and such welding is that it is very difficult to find a yard that has a door that will fit and does not need.
