Established Band Looking For Keys (south san francisco)
Established in 2007, We are an eight piece Blues, Funk and Classic Rock band, made up of all day-jobbers, who love playing music together.
Current lineup is Drums, Bass, Guitar, 2 Trumpets, Trombone, Sax and Vocals.
We are looking for a committed keys player to add to our musical family. We have a couple part time keys that join us on gigs, but we'd like to find a more permanent member.
We get together once a week to rehearse in our practice space in S.SF. No need to lug equipment each week.
We gig throughout the year. We do several charity shows each year, including the Relay For Life, Lymphoma Walk-A-Thon in Golden Gate Park. Other gigs are paid shows, which the proceeds are split equally by everyone in the band.
Admittedly, we don't really do this for the money. We all have decent jobs. The band is just an outlet for us to play music with friends, and take a break from the day to day. With that said, we do work hard to get the music right. No musical slackers here.
We prefer not doing bar gigs. We like to avoid lugging equipment at 2 in the morning if possible. Most shows are private events, corporate gigs, or promoter gigs.
We're based on the Peninsula, so we'd prefer someone in the area just for convenience. We know what it's like making the trek to rehearsal each week.
