THE BUILDING:Â A yellow Victorian building at the corner of SE 19th and Washington.Â You can walk by and it's the second-story southern apartment.Â Please don't go on the porch or bother the current residents.Â The building was turned into a four-plex in the 1910s.Â Friendly neighbors (the tenants had a group potluck on the porch last year).Â Free laundry in basement.Â Free lockable storage space in basement, which you will probably need unless you're a minimalist, because the apartment is small.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:Â Close-in Eastside, close to Colonel Sumner's Park, Lone Fir Cemetery, and the 15 and 20 bus lines.Â Walk to Pad Thai Kitchen, one of my favorite restaurants in Portland, or to La Calaca Comelona if nopales are more your jam.

ABOUT THE MANAGEMENT:Â We are not a big company, just two people who live about a mile north.Â We try to keep out of your hair, but are nearby if you need us.

TO APPLY:Â Â We are looking for a friendly, stable person or two, with good rental/credit history and a verifiable job, who would like to live at the apartment for at least 18 months (though that last part is negotiable).Â One or two cats are permitted, with flea treatment and good references and a $200 refundable security deposit per cat.Â No smoking on the premises.Â If you're interested please send an email and tell us a little about you (i.e. names/jobs/cats/why you're moving and how long you'd like to stay), and we'll set up a time to view the place.Â
