QR Code Link to This Post The morning I took my garbage out, I heard a kitten crying. I found a kitten inside a taped box. Coco was found in a box next to a garbage dumpster at a apartment building where I use to live . She was in horrible condition. She was under weight and urinating blood. I rushed her to my vet the same day. My vet said she was about 10 weeks old and Coco tested positive for a urinary tract infection and infested with fleas. I also told the vet that Coco was urinating in the bath tub and pooing in a ltter box. She would sometimes urinate when anyone would pick her up. The vet put her on amoxicillin for 10 days. The blood in her urine cleared up and after 10 days of antibiotics, I took Coco back to my vet to make sure the infection was gone. The vet said that Coco still had a trace of the bacteria left in her urine. The vet put her on a second round of amoxicillin for 10 days but she continued to have the involuntary urination when she was picked up or laying in my lap. I decided to take her for a second opinion thinking that perhaps something was being missed. I took her to Macon county veterinary hospital where she was seen by Dr. Mark Miller. He changed her antibiotics but it hasn't helped the involuntary urinating. The vet needs to do x-rays and perhaps other testing before making a full diagnosis. Coco is probably going to need surgery for a birth defect. Coco is almost 8 months old. I am asking for donations in any amount to be made to the Macon county veterinary office in Lafayette Tn . Coco will go up for adoption after Dr. Miller has cleared her for adoption. There will be NO ADOPTION FEE. I will have to find Coco a loving home as I cannot keep her. I'm a senior citizen with health problems and I live with family because of my very low income. Coco is truly a lap cat.
