Hiring Dallas Actors to Go Undercover to Investigate Discrimination (Dallas, TX) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post The Center for Civil Rights is hiring both white actors and actors of color to go "undercover" to determine if businesses are violating civil rights laws.

We are a leading civil rights organization, and we advance fair lending and fair housing practices through multifaceted programs, including systemic "testing" of real estate providers and financial institutions.

For example, we might hire a male actor to go into a bank and express interest in a loan, and then send a female actor into the same bank to see if she is offered the same treatment.

There will be a mandatory training session in Dallas on the evening of Thursday, December 5th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Participants will be paid $75 for completing the training. Participants will then be eligible to work as "testers." Testing assignments pay $150 each. This is a great opportunity for actors looking for some extra income, and participants will have a direct impact on increasing fair and equal access to housing.

Unfortunately, if you have worked for a real estate company or a bank within the past year, you are not eligible to participate. You are also not eligible if you have ever been convicted of a crime of dishonesty (such as perjury, or writing bad checks.) In addition, you must be at least 18 years old.
