QR Code Link to This Post Hello, my name is Ed Behrens. I am a piano tuner and piano teacher with 37 years in the piano business. I am now offering a 2 day course - private instruction - one one one - to help musicians learn to tune pianos.

Most tuners earn between $40 and $75 per hour. Piano tuning can be an excellent part-time income. To tune a piano takes on average 2 hours. I believe you'll find most tuners in the Salt Lake City area charge anywhere from $90 to $150 to tune a piano.

Since it is such a short flight from Salt Lake to Denver, none-stop on DELTA or UNITED, and the cost is very reasonable, I am offering this course to musicians who live in your area.

The course is a total of 9 hours of private instruction which can be taken over 2 afternoons or 2 evenings. To learn piano tuning well in this short course, you will need to have some basic musical knowledge, play some instrument for at least 2 years (does not have to be piano).

I am a gentle, kind, 58 year old Christian man who is happy to help you learn to tune pianos. I am very patient. Church of LDS folks are very welcome in my home, always. If you wish to add a few hours while you are here to learn some basic repairs such as sticking keys, adjusting keys that are not working properly, how to put on new felts, and more, we can certainly negotiate that before you make arrangements to travel here.

I will provide all the tools & equipment needed for you here to take my course. I then will also provide you with numerous helpful resources including information on where to get piano parts, tuning tools/meters, reference books, piano decals (if you wish to refinish pianos), and much more. I will be glad to help you set up an account where you can acquire piano parts at wholesale prices to repair/refurbish pianos.
