"I have been volunteering at Muaisa Hale Pule since this program began, and I can't imagine another place on earth where I would be any happier. Every day, I wake up to the sound of songbirds and look out over the Pacific ocean through the trees. At night, a chorus of coqui frogs lulls me to sleep. A bounty of fresh, organic fruits (avos, bananas, guavas, papayas, passion fruit and more) literally fall from the trees on this incredibly blessed land. Just breathing in the phytoncides (essential oils) that the plants and trees produce here helps to reduce stress and instill a feeling of peace.
