I will be driving my extremely well cared for, sound & well maintained 1995 Subaru Legacy Station Wagon, PS, AWD, A/C, Great Heater, New Tires, will get another L,O & F Plus tune up and tranny serviced in May. We will be carrying extra hoses, belts and emergency supplies. Car comes with A.M./F.M. radio and CD player plus a charger for laptop, blue tooth and cell phone.
Advertising NOW so in case you do not have a passport to get through BC, you will have time to get one NOW. (takes 4-6 weeks to get one, applications at USPS & Photo are about $176). ) I do not want any last minute delays. We will be taking our time & driving @ posted speed limits or just under. I'm not "Rushing" through BC. I would like it to be more of a pleasure trip. We will be driving at least 12-15 hours each day, taking 2-3 hour turns. The roads in BC should be snow-free at that time.
MY Requirements: (Sorry, NO animals)
1) Must have current driver's licence & clean driving record because I have to add you to my auto-insurance and this is their requirements. You MUST obtain a complete background check from the Trooper's Building on Tudor Road in Anchorage or any Trooper station that does background checks. This needs to be done in April/2016 so it will be current.
2) Must show proof of ability to share some fuel expenses & Either share a 2 bed motel room or pay for your own room (If you are a female, bank on taking out your own room. I am a 70 year young and a Pentecostal minister, but my future girlfriend (and God) will not look kindly on me sharing a motel room with a female that I am not married to ... LOL). You will need at least $750 in cash or in Visa Traveler's Checks (Visa is the most widely accepted T.C. through out Canada).
3) You must be able to pay for your own food and drinks.
(I am on weight loss program and using a Nutritional Shake Mix.)
4) If you take prescribed meds, make sure that your doctor(s) are willing to give you a letter allowing you have your (unopened, still sealed) meds. through Canada. (No Marijuana)
5) Finally, NO ILLEGAL DRUGS, No Smokers or Alcohol Users!!! (at least not while we travel together.)
If you can meet these requirements, I will try my best to get you to YOUR destination. We can discuss this when we meet.
