Here is a sample of the level of detail we need in your writing sample:

We arrived at the restaurant at 5:40 for our 5:45 reservation. The hostess greeted us in less than a minute from our arrival. She asked if we were on a wait list, and we said yes. She picked up menus and walked us to our table. She waited until we were seated before handing us the menus. Our server, Lisa, came over 1 minute later and asked for our drink orders. We both ordered Cokes. She left to get them and returned within two minutes with the drinks. Lisa asked to take our order at that point. My guest ordered a personal sized pepperoni pizza. I ordered a meatball sandwich with a side salad to be brought with the sandwich. The entire order was delivered 20 minutes later. Lisa set the food down in front of the correct person. She asked if everything looked okay and if we needed anything else. The pizza was delivered on a small round plate. It was cooked to a proper level of doneness, but there were not many pieces of pepperoni on it. The side salad arrived with the dressing on the side. The meatball sandwich was on a standard dinner plate, and there was a pickle slice and some chips accompanying it. The items were all well prepared. The food all tasted fresh. Lisa checked back with us 3 times, including one time before the food was delivered. When we were almost done, she came by with the check and thanked us for coming in. When we left, the hostess also thanked us, and she asked us to come back soon.
