19 year old 16.3 hand Hanoverian/Thoroughbred gelding. I bought him for trail riding with an interest in dressage much to find out from a trainer that he is a decent dressage level. I was offered a lot of money for him a few years ago but I turned it down with the intentions on using him for my schooling show horse but my health declined. He is a good trail horse and crosses rivers with no issues. . .he has crossed bridges with not even batting an eye .... He is not a flighty horse at all! He has some arthritis in 2 of his legs so front shoes him would benefit. I have never injected or given bute as he has never caused me any issues. I am sure he would benefit from it but I never did but i have never pushed him hard physically. He is not for high level eventing but would be an excellent beginner dressage horse or just a trail horse. He pony's good, lunges in side reins and stops on sound command. He never runs or flights when we shoot clays around him. Very light on leg pressure and sensitive to your seat, core and legs. He is a pleaser and good boy. I have had this horse for a few years and am sad to even consider selling him but I have to due to children, going to school along with health issues. He will make a great companion but would be best as an arena horse. He has had much time under the saddle both western and english... I would love to see him sell to someone who wants to learn dressage but as long as he goes to a good home. He will teach you and give you all he can! I was offered way more then my asking a couple years ago but kept him because he tought me a lot. He can be lead around by little kids and is pretty calm to ride but just because of his forward movements I would say he needs and intermediate rider.
