This antique saxophone is just beautiful! It was manufactured in Elkhardt, Indiana about 1923. It was the second series of The True Tone- Low Pitch Buescher saxophones... Series 1A; Serial #118265.
There are no dents; no major indentations anywhere on this instrument. Appears to have normal type scratches especially for its age. It shows a wonderful patina and appears clean. Comes with original case (no handle); inside is in pretty good condition. This sax was recently played by the previous owner's son who plays professionally. This is the same model that was used by the Boston Symphony back in the 20's & 30's. Sold "as is". I am not a saxophone player and have described this instrument as it was described to me.
