Dear parents,
The school year is almost upon us -- are your kids prepared to tackle new subjects, teachers, and tests? Summer is an imperative time to begin getting prepared and building a solid framework for the next school year.

Here are a few ideas to help your children spend their summer efficiently, while still allowing time for fun and relaxation
• Catch up to speed from where they left off last year. Many will forget the material they learned last month, let alone two months ago. This will not only help keep them in the learning mindset, but will also ensure they don't fall behind when school starts by spending time getting into gear. Once your children fall behind, it is very difficult to help them catch up.
• Lay a framework for the next school year. By reading ahead and understanding next year's important concepts, your children will have a leg ahead of their peers and be better prepared for success.
• High school students will need extracurricular time to prepare for the SATs and ACTs. Using the summer to get ready for their upcoming tests will help take a load off during the school year. This will allow them more time to focus in class, learn more and ultimately, get better grades.
• Most importantly, constantly increasing knowledge, learning, and understanding is an investment into your child's future. They will be better prepared, have a stronger work ethic, and understand the importance of hard work in achieving their goals.
I would be more than happy to help your child prepare for the next school year. I can be reached at
