PLEASE DO NOT buy from a company (can not say the name) but there is a company that only sells sugar gliders at MALLS, FAIRS, FLEA MARKETS... BEWARE that they are a mill breeder/broker.
recently because they are now legal in mass they have been selling in Massachusetts carnivals. fairs, and malls.
why beware??
1. they overcharge, they sell you a joey and make you buy their products (which are not good)
2. they do not give you the proper information on their care and diet, and tell many lies.
a. "gliders dont bite" they can and do.
b. you can potty train them" NO you can NOT.
c. "they get along with other family pets" they should not play with other species.
d. "they do not need vet care" , although they do not need annual vaccinations, they should be seen yearly and if they get sick they WILL need to see a vet who sees exotics.
3. they inbreed, they are a mill (like a puppy mill but with gliders).
4. their joeys are usually very crabby and sometimes have even been sick.
5. they sell unsafe products, the cage they sell has made gliders sick and gliders have actually died from them, their pellets food and vitamins and the apple slice every day is NOT enough. gliders need fresh fruits and vegetables, protein, and CALCIUM. or they can get HLP (hind leg paralysis)
their cage should be powder coated like a bird cage.

BEFORE you buy a sugarglider PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THEM AND DO NOT BUY ONE WHEN YOU SEE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR LOCAL FAIR, Or MALL.....
this company preys on people (IMPULSE BUYERS) who when they see them they are like "OH MY GOD THEY ARE SOOOO CUTE" they sell to anyone and say that you only need one. gliders ARE colony animals and shouldnt be kept alone. they can get depressed, self mutilate, and even die from depression...
there are many great breeders around and many gliders listed on craigslist (usually originally from this company....... lets STOP THE MILL BREEDERS (no one should be able to sell any animal at a fair or)
