Months ago, my landlady heard about this guy Jeff from a friend. She only hires people who give really good rates on stuff, mind you.
Anyway, Jeff was soooo nice, and crazy affordable. We needed him to cut down a tree that had fallen over from the rain and it was upsetting our backyard neighbor. We thought it would be a fortune but he was a lot less than what we expected him to charge.
Jeff was super fast, energetic, courteous, kind and respectful to his worker, and he CLEANED UP really well afterward, which is not something I can say for many of the other workers my landlady has hired. And the landlady next door, whom I cannot stand. She got a whole crew of "professionals" to trim one of her trees that had edged its way into our yard, and not one of them stepped up to clean up the huge mess they left. But not the case with Jeff!! He and his two-person crew cleaned up everything, without being asked!
He is based in San Jose (I don't know what part) but he can travel all over the bay area. I am in Redwood City and he traveled to my neck of the woods, no problem.
If you (or someone you know) wants a really good, affordable, fast tree guy, now or in the future, save this number. Jeff the tree barber. . In addition to tree trimming, he also does fences and landscaping.
I recently joked with Jeff that he looked like a fireman, and then he told me he actually WAS a fireman, for a few years. What chick (or person in general) doesn't love a fireman? Need I say more. Get in line, ladies. He gets a ton of business via word of mouth so I cannot say what his schedule is, but hopefully, he can squeeze you in if you call him.
