QR Code Link to This Post I have a 10 week old baby male Chinchilla named Nix (DOB: 08/30/17) who is in need of a forever home! I rescued what I thought were two adult male Chinchillas only to find out one was female who was already pregnant and had a surprise baby!Â

Nix is hand tame and has been raised with plenty of love and attention since the day he was born. He is so sweet and outgoing! He is very comfortable with being handled. Nix is still a baby so he is VERY energetic and non-stop hyper! He would much rather run and play than be held and petted. But he loves to fall asleep in your hands while being held. He DOES NOT know how to bite and has never, ever tried to nip or bite.

He is VERY tame and spoiled and gets fed Oxbow brand Chinchilla food and Oxbow brand Orchard Grass hay. He is used to living in a huge enclosure with fleece bedding, plenty of toys, and things to chew on and kept cooled down. He gets regular dust baths and daily floor time in a Chinchilla proof playpen.

Nix will only go with someone where he will be kept in a safe and appropriate sized cage for a Chinchilla and continue to receive the same care for the rest of his life!

I am asking a $250 rehoming fee for Nix and his travel carrier including; chew toys, container of Chinchilla dust, water bottle, food bowl, and bag of his Oxbow food + Orchard Grass Hay.

NO CAGE INCLUDED!! Nix's current cage is borrowed and not for sale. You must show an actual picture of a appropriate sized personally owned cage for Chinchillas.

Nix's rehoming fee is 100% going towards getting his parent's spayed and neutered!!

Vet references WILL be requested and checked! Chinchillas live for 15+ years and are high maintenance pets that are not for everyone! I'll want to stay in contact with Nix's new owner and kept updated on how he is doing and see pictures from time to time.Â

Please feel free to let me know about your Chinchilla experience, other pets in the household, and what kind of cage you will house him in.... ect.

Nix will not go to anyone and I will be very, very picky about his new home. I'd be more than happy to have a seriously interested, approved person over to meet and visit Nix and his parent's before finalizing rehoming him.
