Baxter amp Baylee (Eastpointe)

**BAYLEE HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING BUT HER BROTHER BAXTER STILL DESPERATELY NEEDS A HOME**

BAXTER (picture #1 and #2) and BAYLEE (picture #3 and #4) (along with their 2 litter mates--who have gone to another rescue) were found living in the woods and were trapped then taken to a shelter by a good Samaritan. The shelter thinks that they were part of an unwanted litter and were just left in the woods to fend for themselves more than likely because their owner didn't know what else to do with them. The shelter classified them as "semi-feral" and they could have been put down at any time but to make sure that this did not happen we pulled them to give them a second chance at life. We are guessing their birth date as July 1, 2015 which will make them 16 weeks old on October 21st. The vet seems to think that they are a Border Collie/Spaniel Mix and should be on the medium to large side when fully grown.

Baxter and Baylee were both extremely leary of humans at first and who can blame them. Rather than playing and running in a back yard and doing all the fun stuff that puppies are supposed to do they were fighting to survive the elements of the earth not to mention the coyotes and other wild animals they had to deal with. During the time that they have been in a foster home they have received guidance training and have turned completely around. They have learned to trust humans again, are sociable, are not afraid to give or receive love and are now starting to enjoy being a puppy...they are even wagging their tails now and will come up to you to be petted. They do not appear to be food aggressive, get along with other dogs and are curious about the feline species. Since there are no small children in the foster home we cannot say how they would be around small children so it is recommended that they be placed into a home with older children or NO children at all. Small children can be noisy and rambunctious and this could frighten them Since they do need some work with their housebreaking they are being crated and put outside on a regular basis but they are very smart and still young so with the right owner and correct discipline they should have no problem at all mastering the house breaking technique.. **IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT THEY ALSO BE PLACED INTO A HOME THAT HAS A SECURE FENCED IN YARD PREFERABLY A PRIVACY FENCE. THEY CAN BOTH BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. IF NOT, HAVING ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOUSEHOLD WOULD BE REASSURING TO THEM BY LETTING THEM KNOW THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY**

Prior to adoption Baxter and Baylee will be examined by a vet, will be dewormed, will have a fecal test done, will be current on ALL vaccines (including lepto and rabies), will be micro-chipped and will already be spayed and neutered. Their new owner(s) will be responsible for any and all vet bills after adoption.

**Considering all that they have been through Baxter and Baylee are very happy puppies who are waiting patiently for their new forever home(s) where they won't have to worry about being abandoned ever again**. For more info on how to give one or both of these wonderful little pups a great life please inquire by email or by text ONLY at

Baxter and Baylee are being adopted out through a rescue so an application will need to be filled out and there will be an adoption fee of $260.00. This fee includes all of their total vet care.
