My fee for the AC diagnosis on your car, truck, or SUV is $50.00 plus any needed refrigerant. My diagnostics will determine if there are any mechanical or electrical/electronic deficiencies that prevent your system from cooling. My diagnosis is not free but is the most important part of the job. most techs will just stuff some Freon in your system with leak dye and send you home. Then when it leaks out 2 days or 2 weeks later they sell you a repair plus it costs you more to replace the refrigerant again. I charge the system with 120 psi of air pressure and see if it holds that. I then apply a vacuum to your system and watch for leakage. If no Dynamic leaks are found I recommend adding a sealer/stop leak and recharging the system. I routinely get below 40 degree air blowing out the vents! I have had 100% success with this method this year. I have done over 40 systems so far with no comeback failures, and only one poor old man who was unhappy his compressor was missing half the drive system and he didn't read the ad and thought I should give him the Freon. My R134A refrigerant recovery and recycling machine weighs the Freon. So if you need a partial charge I can pull it out of your system, measure it and you only have to buy what you need to bring the level up to where it will blow ice cold air again.
