I have a need for a regular courier/driver to preform NC runs 2 or more times per week.
All pickups will be in Burlington NC, zip 27253.
Items to be moved are not heavy but they do tend to take up a lot of space. Reliable transportation is required, and you'll need to have something of decent size. Large SUV. Pickup. Box truck or large van would be great. Trailers are fine. If your transportation is open air (pickup, trailer, etc) then you'll need to have a tarp or some other method of keeping the materials dry.
I have a Toyota 4Runner I've been using (without trailer) and this type of SUV is not large enough. You'll need at least a Suburban sized vehicle, and even then probably best if rear seat is removed.
To give you an idea of weight: I load my 4Runner to capacity. Cargo area, passenger and rear seats packed to the roof. Total weight: about 200 lbs.
Everything is in a carton.
Your responsibilities would include picking up in Burlington and delivering to areas in and around Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte. Mostly the Raleigh area (50 mile radius from city center). Normally 1-2 drops per run. If you have enough capacity perhaps you could carry more.
You'll be dropping these cartons at Post Offices. Some recent ones delivered to include Apex, Wake Forest, Marshville, Browns Sunmit. On delivery you'll have to enter the post office, provide paperwork (which we will provide) at the counter, get a receipt, and then unload (not unpack) the cartons. Most POs have a dock in the back where they will allow you to back up and drop off. Very easy.
If you only want to make runs to 1 of these areas (GSO/CLT/RAL) that's fine. Specify that in your response. You can by my "Raleigh Person" for example.
Must be dependable. Excellent pay for the right person.
