Crazy cover band seeking Crazy Talented players (Denver)
Hey there.
Talented drummer looking to start new band. I've got quality gear and am ready to commit 100% to making this band work as a full time, non-stop, balls to the wall, insane show, touring machine.
Or just whatever.
I've played with these bands: Subterranean Safari (2008-2009) , Mercuria and the Gem Stars (2009-2010), The Yawpers (2010-2013), Instant Empire (2013-2014), Eldren (2014-2015).
This would be a live band only.
No recording. Unless it's a live taping. Improvisation welcome when being used to build energies and solo.
Basically looking to play in a band that can emulate or cover tons of radically different styles of songs. The concept would be to gather large audiences with crazy live shows, constantly bipolar changing feels, and absurd amounts of energy and drive.
The band would be categorized as a 50% danceable 60's-70's Motown inspired pop funk band, which also plays 40% insanely heavy doom sludge metal, Interspersed with 10% psychedelic absurd stuff for sound scaping.
Pretty much every style would be game, but no crunchy jam or reggae allowed.
The point would be to give people a really solid set to dance and be happy to, but also to get really satanically heavily zoned out and trippy weird to as well.
Lots of costumes, lots of sweat, super loud throughout, maximum energy.
If the band has a solid enough line up we could change the style of the band per show, keeping it fresh. The point would be to constantly learn covers and steal the styles from those bands.
