DOCUMENTARY FILM SUBJECT (Gillette, WY)

We are a student lead film team working on a documentary based on the coal industry in the United States called "Coaltastrophe". We are filming in Gillette, Wyoming and are looking for subjects to be interviewed in and around the area detailing their experiences with the local coal industry. Our film is attempting to take a non-bias approach to tell the real story about the positive and negative affects of the coal industry and are welcome to hearing any and all stories you might have about how this industry has affected you. Because we are a student-lead group with little financing, we cannot offer much compensation, but are more than willing to buy you a meal for your help!

A short synopsis of our goals and visions for the film:
Coaltastrophe is a documentary that explores the modern-day coal industry throughout the Western United States. The documentary will take place in major coal towns across the United States focusing on the abundance of new terminal propositions and the debate between the "War on Coal" and the environmentalist movement. In examining the motive behind the coal industry and the perspectives of both its supports and opponents, our aim is to inform the public about actions that could potentially save America's coal industry, but contributes to a larger environmental problem.

If interested, we can provide proof of studentship and more information about the documentary and what we will need in terms of.
