I'm an experienced drummer and multi-instrumentalist seeking to collaborate with musicians from a wide variety of backgrounds and genres. While I play to varying levels of proficiency the piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, baritone ukulele, mandolin and hand percussion, my main focus and passion is the drum set. I have been playing drums since the age of roughly 10, so about 17 years.

I am most passionate about rock and related genres. My main focus would be most commonly considered alternative/indie rock. I also enjoy classic rock, funk, soul, blues, hip-hop, and to a lesser extent jazz and metal (though I am not interested in playing for a metal or jazz band).

I believe that the drum set is first and foremost a supporting instrument. While I respect and admire the great drummers who were/are known for exceptional soloing ability (Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, Tony Royster Jr.), I see myself as laying a foundation and playing exceptionally solid and supportive drumming. I can let loose and solo occasionally, but I prefer to support great musicians and enhance, rather than compete with their stage presence. I believe in a less is more approach. Dynamics and range are also a large component to my playing style. I will hold down a rock solid beat that gradually builds in complexity and intensity in conjunction with the musicians I work with. When the music calls for it, I can build up to an intense and heart thumping crescendo in a song. The drum set is one of the best ways to differentiate sections in a song and create a feeling of the music "lifting off".

I do not have an over-inflated ego and I respect the creative integrity of the artists I work with. My role is first and foremost to round out and back up the lead instrumentalists and singers. I like to cultivate and environment of mutual respect, constructive feedback, and creative exploration. I do not do drugs and I only drink alcohol rarely. I don't judge those who do, I just find that they can be highly distracting.

I wish to work with those who:

-Are interested in performing live and not simply jamming.
-Are an already established, gigging cover band who seeks a drummer (ideally rock, classic rock, alternative, indie, funk, and/or blues).
-Singer/songwriters with at least a few songs written.
-Bands that play originals, though having material is not required, just an interest in co-writing songs with me.
-Bassists who would like to pair up and accompany a number of other artists. Seeing the huge demand of drummers and bassists, I would like to establish a good musical partnership with a bassist, as that would open up virtually unlimited gigs with musicians around the valley.
-Those who seek drum set accompaniment on single gigs or recordings.
-Recording studio students who seek instrumentalists with which to practice their.
