QR Code Link to This Post We are a Raleigh based cover band, 'The Time Was'. We have jobs booked and we in need of a vocalist with a Soulful style. We want to add an additional vocalist to sing back-up and some possible leads. Please be experienced singing harmony, and be able to pick out your part and stay on it. On stage presence is also important, We don't just stand behind a music stand and sing. (No music stands are allowed on stage, you have to learn the songs.)

We cover current music, Rock, Dance, Contemporary Jazz and Classic Rock & Roll. We cover artist such as Adele, Sting, Aretha, Boz, Pink, Bette, Bruce, Christina, Bowie, Gladys, Delbert, Elton, Phoebe, Chaka, Stevie, Tina, Jimi, Lenny, Marvin and many more. (If you know these artist by only seeing one name, then you might fit perfectly.)

We have been together for a few years and our members have been in the group for a while. So this is not a start up project. However, we are not trying or wanting to play out every weekend either. We practice once a week. Please don't contact us if you can't commit to our once a week practice. Our main focus is private functions, however we do a bar or club once or twice a year for the heck of it. We are in the 40+ year old range, but younger or older is fine with us. We would like to find someone that is on the same page as we are. (Family, day job, house, not needing this as a part-time source of income, and can commit to once a week practice.) Think of it as a hobby with some benefits every now and then. We have a great group of people, no drama, no ego's, and we would like to keep it that way.
