Zakota was abandon in Hobart during the last bitter cold spell. She showed up one night at a house that would not let her in despite her cries for help. Unable to help her any other way. They attleast gave her a little dog house and some straw inside it. When one of our volunteers went to check on Zakota they found her very skinny and freezing inside the dog house. She was so friendly and began to try and meow as she shivered that we told the people we could find her a safer, warm and Loving home with unlimited food which she really needs and they agreed. Zakota was admited to our veterinarian where she was tested, wormed, examined, received her shots and was spayed. She is now in a foster home with other kitties and she is getting along with everyone, is very affectionate but not fond of being held just yet. She has a very young face and little body so we were surprised when the vet told us she was 2 to 3 years old and had kittens at some point in her life.
