Hiring ASAP for Field Workers (Glyndon, MN)

FIELD WORKER POSITION

Salary: $11.00 /hour

Glyndon, MN Corn Breeding is seeking 8 -- 12 workers to start ASAP for non-safety sensitive field labor.Assist in planting, pollinating, harvesting, weeding, preparing fields, preparing seed, sampling, de-tasseling, rogueing, and other field and outdoor seed activities related to crops and fields.

Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the farms and assets.Provide support for the Monsanto's Safety program by adhering to all safety policies and attendance atregular company sponsored safety meetings.Assist by Carrying out other duties as assigned.Regular Sills/Experience:Activities will require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing. Extended hours or shiftwork may be requested during the peak seasons.

Must be able to read and write, to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions deliveredin English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.Must be able to adhere to all Monsanto SOPs when carrying out assigned tasks and to support all sitesafety requirements.Must be able to function as a team member, and to take daily direction from supervisors and managers.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:This will be entirely outdoor work, walking and standing in corn field, counting plants and plot thinning(removing individual plants) when necessary.Workers must wear closed toes shoes and shirts with sleeves, t-shirts are permitted but shoulders mustbe covered; shorts are permitted but must be appropriate length for work environment (no "shortshorts" or tank tops).Water, Gatorade, sunblock, hats and safety glasses will be provided.Candidates must be able to understand written and spoken safety and process instructions delivered inEnglish.

Work hours are 7:30am -- 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Weekend hours or OT may be requested(depending on weather and size of crew).Successful candidates may be asked to return for approx.
