By now you've been hired and are looking forward to your training class with one of the Blue World Pools, Inc. top sales trainers and you're probably just as excited as they are about the new pool season and all of the possibilities that await you. So again, I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to work with you and welcome you to Blue World Pools, Inc.
Here are some IMPORTANT things you need to know about your training class:
What To Bring (PLEASE BRING COPIES OF ALL OF YOUR ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS):
1. A copy of your drivers license (DO NOT BRING ORIGINALS, BRING A COPY.)

2. A copy of your social security card (DO NOT BRING ORIGINALS, BRING A COPY.)
(You will be excused from training without a valid copy of your Social Security Card)
3. A copy of your auto insurance card (DO NOT BRING ORIGINALS, BRING A COPY.)
(You will be excused from training without a valid copy of your Auto Insurance)
4. A calculator
5. A pen and notepad
6. Post-It Notes/Sticky Paper
7. (3) Personal references including: name, address and phone number (personal references we may contact in case of an emergency)
8. A Hi-Liter (Any color will work)
9. A minimum 25' Tape Measure
10. A Clip Board
11. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A SMART PHONE WITH THE ABILITY TO DOWNLOAD AND USE APPS.
You will be required to present this tool at the training class. As a part of your training there will be a segment that will walk you through downloading the app and using the app that we will require you to be able to have and use while you are in the customers' home. If you do not have a smart phone, you will be excused from training. A smart phone is an important tool for this job and you must have one in order to send us your closing documents directly from the customers' home. NO EXCEPTIONS, THIS IS A REQUIREMENT.
12. Ladies and Gentlemen, dress for class is casual or business casual; no need to wear suits.
About the Hotel (IMPORTANT FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE HOTEL)
1. You do not need to contact the hotel for any reason. We will make your reservations and pay for your room prior to your scheduled arrival. Please remember that your rooms are paid for on the day that you're scheduled to arrive but no earlier than 12pm EST. So if you must call the hotel, please call after 12pm EST for whatever reason.
2. If your class is scheduled on Sunday, you need to be in the hotel after noon but before 6PM on Saturday. If your class is scheduled on Wednesday, you need to be in the hotel after noon but before 6PM on Tuesday. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be in the hotel before 6PM on the day before your scheduled class. If you cannot be in the hotel before 6PM on the day before your scheduled class, you must contact the hotel before 6PM and provide a credit card to hold your room for a "late arrival".
3. Also, all hotels are non-smoking (and they know when someone has smoked in the room so don't risk it). Anyone caught smoking in the room will be fined directly by the hotel a minimum of $150.00, so go outside and smoke, it's just not worth the trouble.
4. All classes begin at 8:30 AM in the hotel. Meet your trainer in the breakfast area prior to the start of class.
Meet the Trainers:
You will all be trained by one of only two of our trainers:
Jim Mertl: Jim has been with our company since 1982 and was our first sales representative. As a salesperson Jim averaged over 200 pools sold every season as a sales representative.
Jeff Timmerman: Jeff has been with the company since 1994 and Jeff always averaged over 100 pools sold every season as a sales representative.
Blue World Pools, Inc. has arranged for you to be trained by the best trainers in the business and they will teach how to make the money you want to make and the money that we need you to be making. So be ready to learn, these guys know their stuff.
1. I understand I must have my own reliable transportation.
2. I understand that this position is 100% commission only.
3. I am willing and able to run 2-3 pre-approved appointments per day at least 6 days per week.
4. I am willing and able to cover a 2-3 hour market radius.
5. I understand that training is 2.5 days and that the hotel and reservations are paid for and made for me and on my behalf by Blue World Pools, Inc. and I also understand that I am responsible for my own transportation and gas to get to and from class. I further understand that breakfast is covered by the hotel and that lunch and dinner are my own responsibility.
6. I understand that I do not get paid for training.
7. I understand that Blue World Pools, Inc. will not require any payment for any reason for employment with Blue World Pools, Inc.
8. I understand that this is a full-time position that requires a full-time commitment and I am willing and able to work at least 6 days per week, including every Saturday.
9. I am willing and able to start immediately after class and further agree that Sunday's classes end on Tuesday and I can start on Wednesday. And Wednesday's classes end on Friday and I am able to start on Saturday.
10. I understand that as a Blue World Pools, Inc. sales representative I am paid using the 50/50 over par system (meaning we split the profit 50/50) or 4% of the total sales price (whichever is greater).
11. I understand that commissions are paid on the 5th and the 20th of each month.
12. I understand that the "per pool bonus" of $100 for every pool financed and $150 for every pool paid with cash, is paid in addition to the "per pool commission" and paid on one check at the end of the pool season. I also understand that in order to collect my bonus check I must successfully complete the season on good terms with Blue World Pools, Inc.
13. I understand that the gas bonus of $25 per appointment is only paid for the first 10 appointments and that I am paid $125 after appointments 1-5 and a final payment of $125 is paid after appointments 6-10. After I have been paid the $25 for my first ten appointments only, any and all expenses, including gas to run my appointments are 100% my responsibility.
14. I understand that Blue World Pools, Inc.'s prices range from $299 to over $10,000 per pool.
15. I understand that I have until the middle of August (which is the end of our pool season) to sell as many pools as I can and make as much money as I can.
