My name is Elvis and I am a 19 year old guitarist looking for musicians to complete my bands line up. Influences ranges from Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Breaking Benjamin, Big Wreck, Jeff Buckley, Rival Sons and much more. No specific sound as we will be creating something unique but still true to the genre.
I currently have 2 other guitarist, a bassist, and a vocalist who I work with. However, they aren't actual members of the band. I am looking for people who is willing to put time and effort into this with no other musical projects. I am looking for members for this band. No hired guns.
Please understand that when it comes to starting a band, it takes a bunch of time. It won't happen over night. We will not be playing Download festival in a year or buying houses. This is something that only those who are really passionate about music can achieve. There will be nights cramped in a crappy hatchback taking a 100 mile trip just so we can play a show full of people who couldn't care less about what we do. Days where we need to contemplate whether we can afford the dollar menu at McDonalds. Days where our ride has been broken down and we are getting help from a old man with only one visible tooth and looks like he hasn't showered in weeks but in reality, he has a nice cologne on. Days where we will be sitting at a diner and a waitress reaches to give us our food on the booth and our bassist spots hair in her armpits in which he is forever afraid to talk about because he said she was hot when we went in the diner. We will fight and disagree about the Yankees being the best baseball team of all time. Fights about who can use the bathroom first. Fights about who gets to sleep next to the only window that opens in our shitty 1989 Ford Econoline.
There will be rough times. But after we been through all of that agony, and we are standing in front of thousands of people yelling our name and crying our lyrics because it reminds them of their love ones when in reality its about that last pizza we had an argument over 2 years ago at band practice. We will look at each other, smile, and say "We made it".
