Mechanic for Hire Mobile Mechanic (Tigard, OR) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post I am a certified diesel mechanic who specializes in marine diesel/steam/gasoline (USCG Licensed 3rd Assistant Engineer) as well as heavy truck diesel. (Certified Heavy Diesel Mechanic) I also specialize in automotive repair and have several years of professional experience in all these fields. I have my own tools and am available to work on-site at a location to save the cost of taking your vehicle or boat into a shop. Due to the limitations of working on-site, however I am somewhat limited in what I can do as I do not have the computer programs for certain diagnostics and tests, or major jobs that require more than what your driveway or boat slip can handle. I do not drive a service truck (I am in the market for one as demand is growing!), but am able to bring most of what I need to your location. I also teach classes on auto/truck/boat maintenance and basic repair for those that want to learn how to fix their own stuff! Below is an overview of what I can do for you, some of which depends on what vehicle/engine I am working with. I will not tell you I can do something that I can NOT do. If you are unsure or would like to know, please contact me and I will be glad to come check out the job and let you know.

These jobs are just an overview of what I can do easily and quickly on-site. I can work wherever you and your vehicle/boat are, (Driveway, garage, boat slip, shed, barn). Currently I do not have an air compressor or full size truck/auto floor jack or jack stands, so if it something that requires stands or a jack, you will have to provide them or pay for them up front to keep. I also do not have the capability or the license rights to diagnostic programs as I am working outside of a shop- so please do not ask me to program ECU's etc. I do however, have an OBDII Scanner and will be glad to come out and read codes on vehicles newer than 1996. I also can read live data (temperatures, pressures, etc) on this scanner so would be glad to help you there if you need. If the job is a large job that will take more than a day (head gasket, etc), I would prefer to work on the vehicle in a safe location such as in front of your house or in a garage. I charge $50/hr. for labor and parts will be purchased by you directly. I am able to help you find parts too if necessary. I am clean and tidy and love turning wrenches. Please let me know what I can do for you!
