One in five students, or 15-20% of the population, has a language based learning disability. Dyslexia is the most common of the language based learning disabilities. If your child is struggling they may need a different learning style tailored to their needs and I can help!

My name is Cindy Archibald, owner of Learning Curve Academics, and I have worked as the manager of a private literacy center for over 3 years using the multi-sensory program methodologies from Lindamood-Bell. I have now set out to start my own business helping students who are struggling as emerging readers. I have worked with many students over the years with learning disabilities, especially dyslexia, and have seen students come to meas non-readers, frustrated and reluctant, and leave reading multi-syllable words fluently and are excited to read I love what I do and I make each session interactive and fun for each student so they enjoy getting help.

The Lindamood-Bell programs focus on phonemic awareness, auditory processing, fluency, and comprehension. This multi-sensory, one-on-one, tutoring process is recommended by the International Dyslexia Association as an effective program for students with dyslexia. I have an extensive evaluation process including the Gray Oral Reading Tests (GORT-5), Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing (CTOPP), and Expressive One Word Picture Vocabulary Test.

I can create a personalized learning plan based on the results so your child is excited to read! Reading doesn't have to be a struggle!
