Oliver and Stanley Need a Home hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post Hi There,

I really hate having to write this message. I am one of those people who has always said that I would never put my pets up for adoption. I feel that when you decide that you want a pet, they are yours to take care of for the duration of their life. Not to mention that they immediately become family members. I've been going back and forth struggling with this situation because it is a unique one:

I started out caring for Stanley and Oliver when their previous owner (I will call her Lisa) would have to go for stays in the hospital due to various injuries having to do with falls. Lisa is an elderly lady, but she bounced back every time. After a long stay in the hospital and me volunteering to house the cats until she got out she decided she did not want them once she got settled into her new apartment. So with me they have been since then. They are special boys that deserve the very best and I will explain why:

Their previous owner before Lisa was a good friend of hers. She passed away, I believe from a car accident. The boys then went to go live with Lisa. Lisa has a big problem that has never been dealt with and I don't know the condition her apartment is in now. She is a hoarder. The smell when you opened the front door of her old house was unlike anything I've ever smelled. Beer cans and boxes everywhere. Cat poop everywhere (Piled high up in containers), diapers piled up in the sink. Old food all over the kitchen. The list could go on.... These boys lived in this mess for around 9 years.

Let me tell you a little about these boys (They are litter mates): Stanley is a beautiful, slender, black cat; I call him my mini panther. He is very friendly and does not shy away with guests coming to the house. He sleeps curled up next to my legs every night. Oliver is a rather large (He has lost weight since coming to live with me), grey tabby who loves sleeping a good part of the day. He's a lovable dude who does not like being held, but loves to be pet. He sleeps on my hand/arm every night, like my own, personal hand warmer. The boys will talk to you, but not to excess. I adore them. Despite where they came from, they use the litterbox faithfully and they are neutered and UTD on a check-up and vaccines.

I don't want them to go through anything like that ever again. Can you help by providing a good home for these boys?

Thank you so much for.
