Pair of Orange Black Male American Crested Guinea Pigs

QR Code Link to This Post We have a pair of male guinea pigs looking for their forever home. These guinea pigs are named Jack & Jasper.

Jack & Jasper are guinea pig brothers. They were brought to another rescue that was closing down, and the owner of that rescue brought them here to be adopted. Unfortunately, the owners who dropped them off initially did not provide much information about them, so all we really know is that they are adult males and apparently siblings. We'd estimate that they are 2-3 years old, though this is just an estimate. They could be younger or older.

These guinea pigs can only be adopted out as a pair. Please do not ask to adopt only one of them.

While these guinea pigs are brothers, they do look a bit different. They are both American Crested guinea pigs, with Jack being the more outgoing of the two. Jack is the guinea pig with the white fur in his crest, while Jasper is the guinea pig with no white. They are both super sweet and are always at the front of their cage wanting veggies and leafy greens. Oh and hay, they LOVE their hay. Actually, there isn't much that they won't eat.

Even though they are more outgoing than your average guinea pigs and are often at the cage door to greet you (with loud wheeks! when they think you haven't fed them nearly enough), they are still your average guinea pigs...you have to catch them before you can hold them. They are typically a bit skittish when you go to catch them, but once you've got them in your arms, they do settle down considerably. Once you've got them in your arms, they will sit pretty nicely and chill with you. They don't bite.

These guinea pigs get along well with each other, but we make no guarantees as to whether they will get along with your guinea pig.

These guinea pig will come with some food to start you out with (4 pounds of Oxbow Cavy Cuisine) and a printed out version of our guinea pig care packet. We also have additional supplies for sale, such as Oxbow guinea pig food, cages, food, food bowls, water bottles, hidey houses, and more.

Regardless of past guinea pig experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our guinea pig care packet and fill out our adoption application/guinea pig questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No guinea pig will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

These guinea pigs are located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324).

The adoption fee for this pair of guinea pigs is $40.
