My name is Ankit Somani. I'm a recent graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City. While attending SVA I was extremely fortunate to meet Chris Newman, an Academy Award winning sound mixer, who became my mentor. Chris was able to train me in the field of audio production and filmmaking at an elite level. Over the years I was also able to craft knowledge in cinematography. This allowed me to showcase my skills as a photographer. The idea of my work is "plain and simple". I take photos and hand over the unedited files to you at the end of the shoot. I consider myself a perfectionist who is ambitious to gain as much technical and creative knowledge that will result in a great product. My determination allowed me to work with many different filmmakers at SVA; this was a vital growing point in my education. As a photographer, I believe that I can offer a simple service to my clients.
