About to be officially deemed disabled and begin getting Long Term Disability income from private insurance company my employer uses. My employer does not participate in social security (nearby State government). Cranston allows property tax discount/waiver for disabled homeowners, but ONLY if the disabled person being paid by Social Security Administration. Really? Seems discriminatory. Don't want to move. Does anyone know any good news about this situation?.
