What I am hoping to find is a band who is very close or is already gigging and needs an experienced rhythm/lead guitarist. I am not someone looking to make a living off gigging but just enjoy playing out and making good music with extra "toy" money. Probably weekend work for the most part but open to other opportunities. I am not interested in a complete startup band as it seems in my experience, hard to keep it together to get out and play. I could see being interested in a startup with a talented younger female singer needing a backing band which would be fun to be a part of a new talent.
As for me, I am 57, experienced, can play rhythm or lead depending on the need, have plenty of quality equipment and have been doing this for a number of years. I like a tight band with good vocals and don't need to have a spotlight on me all the time. I am not a shredder but more a melodic lead player for the most part. I play for the song and want to do what is best for the vocals. I DO NOT SING unfortunately (wish I did).
I am open to most genre's of music from blues, pop, classic rock, soul, R&B, and country. Been playing around this area for the last ten years and plan to stay and hoping to find that one tight, harmony driven band that needs a quality guitarist to step in for someone leaving or perhaps just looking to change your lineup. Pretty easy to work with, reliable, do my homework and come prepared to play.
