( A LITTLE ABOUT ME/Founder)
Before I became a mom, I had a ministry to serve children, I was blessed to become a self esteem counselor. Now i am gifted to be a single mother. The ministry became broader to serve other single moms as well! As i became more proactive in my community, Ive discovered the lack of support and resources for other single moms like myself! Ive learned a lot through all of my own personal struggles being a single mom...I've obtained more resources than any referral source combined! I've just always known in my heart there's a ministry there, I just haven't yet obtained a building ( God willing) ...
(ABOUT THE MINISTRY GROUP)
a "village" group page where single moms can link together , serve each other with resources within our community, and post their needs...post recommendations, of organizations, donate, barter / trade and MAKE NEW FRIENDS!
Ex: Does someone need a "sitter" ?does someone need a ride to a dr apt or an interview? need clothes or food or EVEN A MOMMY NIGHT OR DAY OUT?! Or maybe just to VENT TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE HEARS YOU! We would be surprised to know just how many other moms ( just in our own community alone!) are going through the same things you are, that could use a new friend ! but you'll never know unless you take the initiative to step out and say IM HERE ! ...
~ It's called "A single Lilly" after the strongest most inspiring mother I know, my nanny.She keep herself busy in her garden, her favorite flower was the stargaze Lilly...
~Lilly's often stand alone: they stand tall and strong on their own stem! They support the sprouts beneath them! They are bright and bold and unique unlike any other flower, just their presence alone blesses someone. I can understand now why that was her favorite flower... I think of that every time I see one, and I am reminded of her...We all need to keep our heads up and "stand tall", keep trying and keep inspiring, just bless someone with our "presence"! think of this every time YOU see a Lilly, remember that you are STRONG, STAND ON YOUR OWN, ARE UNIQUE AND BLESS SOMEONE JUST BY YOUR PRESENCE! YOU ARE THE FOUNDATION OF SUPPORT TO YOUR LITTLE SPROUTS!
As single moms we all use a little ( or more) support! All I ask is that you Be blessed, Bless someone else ....and share this group! Encourage another mom like yourself!
