Hello! Thanks for checking out my listing. I am an independent filmmaker seeking out talent for a short film I've written and will direct.
The story is about a man who seemingly has everything he could want, that being a family and a stable home life, yet he feels unfulfilled. He reveals this for the first time that he has this anxiety to his therapist, who offers him the opportunity to change his personality in order to feel happy, but would he sacrifice who he is to stop the pain? There are sci-fi elements that I won't reveal here, but all I will say is that I'm very excited to get the film started. I'm currently looking for five actors:
Tom, the patient, to be played by a man of any ethnicity in his 30s.
Dr. Jacobs, the therapist, a man of any ethnicity in his 40s or older.
Nancy, the woman Tom lives with, any ethnicity in her 30s.
Two children, a boy and a girl, under ten years old, meant to be brother and sister.
I am looking to shoot sometime in late September/early October. Locations are currently being scouted.
A round of auditions will be held this Saturday, August 22nd, at Shelter Studios in Manhattan. I will be in room 1203 on the 12th floor, shoot me a message and I'll set up your audition time (which will be between 9am and noon) and send you sides. PLEASE DON'T JUST SHOW UP!
