Hi, my name is Turkey and my foster mom says I am the best dog ever!! (and she has fostered a lot of dogs, so I am pretty proud of myself)
It's not just that I am tiny, adorable, and never stop wagging my tail.... But I am also good with everyone! Dogs, cats, kids, strangers, EVERYONE. You name it, I love them.
My life before I met my foster mom was not great. I was found as a stray in New York City and was very underweight and had some odd burns down my back. Then I ended up in a kill shelter and thought that was it for me. But luckily the nice volunteers there told everyone how awesome I was and my foster mom brought me home where I could be safe and learn to have fun again. And now I LOVE to have fun.
My favorite things are as follows:
1. Chasing my foster brother dog around the yard. He's faster than me, but I never stop trying to catch him. Someday I'll get him!!
2. Chewing on bones. When my foster family is away, they leave me some bones and I am totally happy to chill on my bed on chew away. It also keeps me from stealing their shoes which apparently I am not supposed to do.
3. Cuddling with people, getting belly rubs, and snuggling up to my foster dog brothers even when they say they don't want to be bothered. I just sneak my head onto their bellies while they are sleeping.
There is just one thing left that would make my life complete and that is finding a forever family of my own.
So now to the details - I am a 2 year old female, I am finishing up my potty training, I am spayed and up to date on all my shots. I weigh around 35lbs but could still stand to gain a few more. Currently I am staying in Stamford, CT but my foster mom will drive me anywhere on the east coast for the right home.
