Twice Abandoned, Siamese and Orange Tabby Cats Need New Home (dublin pleasanton livermore)

These adorable kitties were originally found a couple of years ago, scrounging for food at night in a trailer park (insert Jeff Foxworthy joke here)! No one was able to take them in, and fortunately, someone called a rescue group which provided traps to save the kitty family. Oscar and Kate went to one foster home and then another, and were finally adopted to what would have been a wonderful home for them.

Unfortunately, after almost two years in their new home, a family member developed allergies and Oscar and Kate had to be returned to the foster care situation. They had been blissfully happy living with a family, and they do not understand why they had to come back to this place where they have to share with other cats and don't get nearly enough attention. They are once again looking for their forever home.

Oscar is a lovely flame-point Siamese mix, mostly white with orange tips on his nose, ears and tail. He has soft blue eyes and a bit of the characteristic Siamese "cross-eyed" look -- which we think is very charming on him! His sister, Kate, is a beautiful peachy-orange tabby. Orange females are relatively rare (85% of orange cats are male), so this really is a distinctive pair of kitties.

When they first lost their family and returned to the foster home, Oscar and Kate were pretty quiet and sad for a couple of weeks, and lost some weight. Lately, they've come out of their shells and started acting more like their old selves: purring and nuzzling on their human friends to get some petting. They're gaining the weight back... especially Kate, who is already a bit chubby. They will take some time to settle comfortably into their new home, due to all the upheavals they have experienced, but with plenty of TLC they will settle in and make wonderful companions. (Pro tip: they love wet food and that'll bring them right to you!)

Oscar and Kate are a strongly bonded pair and need to find a new home where they can stay together. They get along fine with other cats after the usual "acclimation" period, and a family with older kids around 8+ could be a great fit.

These adorable cats are about 3 years old and have been spayed/neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated, and tested FIV/FELV negative. They have always been great at using the litterbox! There is a tax-deductible adoption donation that goes back to the Feral Cat Foundation (an all-volunteer organization) to help us continue providing supplies and medical care for kitties in need.
