Join our grass roots movement to increase animal shelter and rescue adoptions! We need volunteers to flag dog/cat breeders and flippers, twice a day from home. Please go to the pet section, general sales, farm and garden, and sporting goods. Flag all breeders and dog flippers selling puppies.

Dog Flippers are easily recognized. They sell puppies from 6-16 weeks old. They either ask more than $150 or they put no price in the ad. They often will offer a crate, toys, and leash/collar with the puppy to make it look like it's their own. They use the same empty excuses for why they are selling the puppy: "I got a new job", "I'm moving", "I found out I'm pregnant" and "my kid is allergic to it". They won't tell you specifics about how they obtained the puppy or why they got it. They pose the puppies in photos with tacky props or take the picture in the car as soon as they get it. Lots of times they pose it with a child.

Craigslist actually ASKS the public to flag ads that are against its Terms of Use. It states, IN BOLD RED, when you place a pet ad that craigslist "is only for rehoming ones personal pet for a SMALL rehoming fee"! You decide what small is but breeders/flippers ALWAYS ask more than $100 and the dogs are NEVER spayed/neutered. REAL PET OWNERS usually are much more concerned about where the dog goes than the money they will get and usually put a price in the ad that is less than $75, plus the pet is most often spayed/neutered. Real owners can tell you the silly things that are unique to their pet. They have memories and stories about the pet. Flippers want a fast sale.
