Well gee now look. First They leave cat trappers unattend to leave cats to die in them and now look. Jimmy Vitalli west haven animal control officer has been arrested for stealing funds from a rescue. Now does every undertand .
3 cat torturing animal control officers remaining who are employed at West Haven Animal Control. They should be prosecuted let alone fired. They have continued for years to go around leaving trappers for cats and then come back day later. In winter doing it leaving cats to freeze to death left for days in a trapper. These officers are beyond despicable.They will try to give every excuse but it means nothing. Why don't they leave if they hate cats!! All of west haven and basically ct hates them. Can you imagine a feral cat left in a trapper uncovered for days in the heat, in the winter, well those 2 officers do it , torture the cats because of their ignorance.

.West Haven Police have arrested a former city Animal Control Officer who was employed since 1997. Detectives have arrested James Vitelli 46, of Reeds Gap Road Northford, CT. Vitelli was arrested by warrant after an extensive investigation beginning back in January 2015. Vitelli was a founding member and the Treasurer of a non profit 501c3 organization named Wags and Whiskers. This organization had collected funds by redeeming bottles and cans that the public would donate to the Collis Street Shelter, and using the monies for veterinarian care. Supervisors discovered Vitelli began redeeming returnables and pocketing the monies, not providing it to Wags and Whiskers. It was also discovered Vitelli had damaged a storage area for these redeemable items. Vitelli was arrested for Larceny 2nd, and Criminal Mischief 3rd. He is no longer employed by this.
