Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine is now accepting new patients, with new patient appointments available on Monday 10/26. This will be the last "new" patient time available until into November, though we can often make something work if there's a cancellation. Current patients are always welcome by appointment.
As far from assembly line medicine as it gets, a new patient visit runs about three hours, all one-on-one. . .no sitting in a room twiddling your thumbs while a half dozen people run in and out. An initial visit is only $80-, and includes a very extensive health history and lifestyle counseling, intake and treatment. On the first visit treatments usually include some amount of acupuncture.
Follow up visits usually run about ninety minutes and cost only $50-. . ..still one-on-one. Treatments usually get less invasive as time goes on; more bodywork, herbs/nutrition and exercise instruction.
Our focus is on preventing problems before they start. If problems already exist, priority shifts to resolving them before things get worse. Chronic issues generally take longer to resolve than acute problems.
Patient complaints range from cancers to seasonal allergies; success largely depends on patient attitude and compliance. We give treatments and education. You back up the treatments with lifestyle and allow change to happen. We don't "cure" anyone; we seek balance to allow your body to cure itself.
Lifestyle is the key. 99% of disease and pain comes from imbalance, and 99% of imbalances are the result of inappropriate lifestyle choices.
