We are renting a bedroom in our beautiful Victorian flat near Alamo Square. We are a quiet professional couple looking for a short term housemate or longer term for a weekly commuter. Our place is perfect for a relocating 30+ professional, working full time outside of the home. The room is available on a temporary, month to month basis -- a minimum 2-3 month stay is preferred. It is available August 1st.
It's a fully furnished place with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and lots of period details. There is a great living room, dining room, large fully-stocked kitchen, a deck off the kitchen and a small backyard. There are one and a half baths, washer and dryer in house, and wireless internet. It's a non-smoking, no-drugs, non-pet house.
The bedroom is a sunny 10x10 room that looks out on the back garden. It has large windows, high ceilings and hardwood floors. The room is beautifully furnished with antique furniture and a brand-new full-sized bed with a down quilt. (We can also provide sheets and towels.) The room is for single occupancy only.
We are conveniently located near the famous Alamo Square (best known for its "Postcard Row," a stunning view of seven "Painted Ladies" and the city skyline), Nopa, Hayes Valley, Fillmore district, and lower Haight. There are several restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, and other shopping all within walking distance. We are also just a few blocks from the Octavia Street on-ramp to 101 and 80, and many bus lines, including the #5 and #21 to Civic Center BART and downtown, and the #47 to the Caltrain station in SOMA.
