Please read this entire posting before asking questions. I get a lot of responses, so if it's answered here and you ask it, i'll assume it's some weird spam/scam and delete it.
My roommate and his gf aremoving out by Sept 1 for a place of their own. I need someone to take over their room. Rent is $463 a month everything, but electricity and internet included. See the breakdown below.
About the Apt:
-Rent is $926 a month, so $463 each.
-To move in you will need first month rent $463 AND a security deposit of about 1.5 months rent which is $687, but if you can't pay the security deposit by Sept 1, we can work out a payment plan. Discuss in person.
-Electricity is not included. Will prolly be like $20 bucks each.
-Internet is shared which is like $15 each, unless you can find a better deal.
-3rd floor apt with a huge balcony and a beautiful view of the Broadway bridge and Naito pkwy
-Laundry room and trash/recycling are right outside the apt
-Dishwasher is in the kitchen
-Access to a gym and a rooftop view of Portland is in the building next door
-Two big closets in the hallway for storage
-Apartment comes fully furnished, except for your room, but you can buy the bed in it already from me if you need.
About Me:
-I'm a 30yr old gay male
-I'm a social drinker, go dancing, and am 420 friendly. I have people over every now and then and sometimes have a small party of friends. However, this is not a party pad. When I have a party i clean up after myself and the apartment looks the same as before. Basically, just respect the place
-I'm a night owl, up late watching tv, playing video games, or card games with friends, so this is not the right apt for someone who goes to bed early and is sensitive to sound, though the rooms are pretty sound proof as is the apt.
-If you stop by to see the apartment you can ask me anything you want to know. Prepare questions, better to ask now than to find out a month in.
About You:
-Ideally you would be someone who has a steady job. If you plan on being on the lease, you'll need to show your last two pay stubs to management.
-+-5yrs my age. I want a roommate who has had experience living with others and cleaning up after themselves.
-You should be capable of maintaining a friendly relationship with a roommate and taking care of an apartment. We can be friends, I'd like to have some things in common with my roommate, but what's more important is that you are a respectful roommate rather than a good friend. I have many great friends. I just need ONE good roommate.
-Most importantly, I'm looking for someone to SHARE an apartment with not just rent a room in an apartment. We switch off every month, so this means that every other month you are responsible for buying things for both of us that we need such as: toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, light bulbs, etc. Also, every other month you are responsible for cleaning any shared space at least once during that month. You should know how to vacuum, sweep, wipe things down, and steam clean if you spill beer on the carpet. If you are broke and just want a place to squat with no financial responsibility to help furnish the apt or accountability, this is not the place for you. If the living room is hot, buy a fan or air conditioner. If the shower curtain in the bathroom tears, buy a new one. Basically, you should be able to share and contribute financially if needed.
-This is for ONE person. Not someone and his or her partner/family. No exceptions.
-The apt allows for cats or dogs, but i have none of my own. I would love to have one though, but take none of the responsibility for it, so preference might be given to anyone with a small cute dog. I'd even settle for a cat owner.
