9755 Looking for someone who knows concrete flatwork (Milwaukee)
A Wisconsin Corporation is looking to hire a flatwork concrete foreman with a minimum of 10 years' experience and is a top-end finisher.
The company is reorganizing and are seeking to hire a key employee who wants to build the company too. We want someone who knows what they are doing and can set up a job using a grade laser to ensure proper grade, pitch, and height of forms. We want someone who will lead the team by working with them at every stage of the job. Whether you're pounding stakes, stringing lines, setting forms, puddling, striking off, or washing tools it must be a team effort. The owner of the company is a hands-on and will depend on you to keep the job organized, safe, and moving forward efficiently. You must have excellent organizational and communication skills with the desire to plan and coordinate jobs with the sales staff and project manager to make everyone's life easier.
We are NOT looking for a fly-by-night guy, but someone who will be loyal to the company and not to side-jobs beyond close relatives. We want someone who will stick with us and build our company through a very high standard of professionalism, leadership, quality craftsmanship, teamwork, and dedication. The company owns and maintains newer heavy equipment to make your life easier including a skid steer, excavator, concrete buggy, dump truck, and dingo. While your primary job function will be the removal and installation of flat concrete, the company may take on other jobs from time to time including whole house demolition and excavation for residential and commercial customers.
Wages will be based on experience, dedication, ability to knock jobs out without flaws or errors, and bring jobs in. . . If you can regularly do this, we have no problem paying $25-$30 per hour with bonuses. Let's start out slow and we'll see how things work out; let's try a job or two. . .
