Adolescent and Caregiver Participants Needed for Food Choices and Grocery Spending Study
Researchers at Wayne State University are conducting a study of how African American adolescents' (12-17 years) food choices and their primary caregivers' grocery spending habits are related to various factors. The research study lasts for a period of 6 weeks. During that time caregivers and teens will meet with a research assistant 3 times to complete written and computer-based questionnaires. The first two appointments will take place at participants' homes and the third appointment will take place at Harper Hospital where teens will be asked to complete a computer task while undergoing a brain scan in the fMRI machine. Participants will be compensated $150-$200 for their time and inconvenience.
