Hello beginning guitarists, or those who want to improve their guitar knowledge and finger dexterity. My name is Taylor Kinnick. Let me first begin by saying that these are the cheapest and best quality guitar lessons that you will find! At $25/hr I offer classes to those just starting the guitar and those who want to learn to play lead guitar on both the acoustic and electric! I have been playing guitar for over a decade in bands, solo, and have experience in music theory as well as jazz/blues improvisation, Spanish, and eastern music. The styles of guitar I teach range from folk to blues, modern genres to classical, and anything you would like to learn! I can teach anyone any song because I believe with the right motivation and attitude anyone can learn the guitar. Too often people get frustrated because they don't get it right away. But this is the part that can teach us patience and understanding. It's something that can become a great outlet for those looking for a new hobby, or a fun instrument to pick up. I can come to your place of residence, meet in a coffee house, or on the PSU grounds where I live. Also, if you do not have a guitar to use yet, I have no problems letting you use either my electric or acoustic during lessons. I have experience working with all age groups (children to adults), and enjoy teaching anyone who is eager to learn! I teach students to read tabs from day one. After the first lesson you will be able to read tabs and learn songs not only with me but on your own. If there are songs students would like to learn I teach them the songs as well as pointers, theory, and tips on how to play them better!
About Myself:
I am currently a full time student at PCC Sylvania and work as a guitar instructor. I have always had a great passion for music throughout my life. I began to play the guitar at age eight, and have not stopped playing since. Music can better the quality of one's life all around and enhance abilities not only in life but in school and regular activities. Music has done this for me time and time again. I am an animal lover and have an gem of a german shepherd named Zooey who loves the blues! I am a very caring and patient individual who loves to teach and take care of others.
