American BulldogStaffordshire Terrier to new home (Battle Ground)

We have a very sweet American Bulldog/Staffordshire terrier named Jack who we are looking to rehome. He is 7 1/2 years old, around 80 pounds, neutered and up to date on his shots. We have had him since he was 3 months old. He was bottle fed from 4 days old because his mother, who was rescued, wasn't able to feed the puppies. Because of this he is a real loveable guy. We used to have another dog, a female pitbull/boxer that he would wrestle with all the time when he was younger. He has never shown any aggression, which is why he was able to get along with her. She would boss him around and hump his head and he was ok with that. He would likely be fine if you have another large dog, though we'd want them to meet and be sure. He ignores my parent's Sheltie when they visit. I don't think he would make a good companion for a small dog. He isn't much of a barker and never whines. He loves anyone who comes over and wants to make them his best friend. He does alert us to strangers arriving.

We are looking to rehome him because we just had another child and I just don't have time for him. He needs someone who can spend time working on his obedience again as he's getting worse about coming when called. He would do better in a house without younger children. He's not really a problem with ours, but when we play chase with our 2 year old, he gets overly excited and jumps up at us (the adult playing). I'm not sure how he would be with other pets. I think he might chase a cat but not really sure since we don't have any. He loves going on walks and walks well without pulling. It would be best if you have a fenced yard since otherwise he may wander into your neighbors yard. He would make a great pet for the right family. That used to be us, but not so much anymore. We've always fed him a high quality dog food and he currently gets Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain. I think he has an intolerance for chicken so that's why we feed a non-chicken based food.

If you think you would be a good match for him please send me an email telling me about your home and family and other pets and such. If it sounds good we can talk and arrange to meet. As a rehoming fee we are asking for a $25 check made out to the animal shelter as a donation.
