I feel horrible about asking for anybody's help like this, but my 15 yr old son and I have found ourselves in a horrible situation. Over the weekend while we were gone, someone broke into our apartment. The majority of his Christmas presents and small electronics were taken, along with my money for our bills and rent. I'm a single mom and am off work due to medical reasons, and have an extremely little amount of income. This happening to us is a major life altering situation. I don't know what I'm going to do. The money that was stolen was all I had and it was for my rent of $215, a payment of $75 to electric company to prevent disconnect, and to buy a phone card. As of now all I have is $12 to my name and my phone is off. My electric is set to be disconnected Thursday morning, and I'm possibly getting an eviction notice. I've put calls into the local churches and am waiting to hear back, I don't know what else to do except post this. I have no family here and not many friends. The past couple days have been really hard on my son as he tries to keep me calm and not completely stressed out while being stressed out himself which is so hard for me to see and not be able to help him. All I want to do is to make all of this better for my son and I'm not sure how. If anybody has any ideas, suggestions or any help please email or call or text.
