I'm writing this as many are working, busy with their kids, stoned, not aware, but did you know what your government is up to lately? Do you pay attention to them at all? They affect YOUR lives daily with the laws THEY create. We are often safer when they are gone for the weekend, on vacation, holidays, etc. Government shuts down about 110 days out of the year, and it's a good thing for Americans with what they do these days.
Have you heard of the TPA? While the media is diverting our attention away from what our politicians are doing to harm America, they are crafting a secret deal, much like Obamacare that they say has to be passed before we, the people who pay their wages, can know what's in it (and we are all feeling the effects of that one and see how well that worked for us). This shady deal will give this President, and whomever may come after him, (if he allows that should this pass), more power to create deals, treaties, agreements with other nations and bypass Congress or the American people to have a say so in what he does. It will affect jobs negatively, more than now, here in the U.S. It will give him more authority and power and NO president should have more. It's a series of bills called the TPP, trans pacific partnership, TAA, trade adjustment assistance, and the TPA, trade promotion authority, which is the one they will vote on tomorrow and the president desperately wants it to pass so he can finish what he started, upsetting the balance in America and destroying it. It will create an "authority", which is as its name sounds, some unelected by the American people, "governing" body, which will be given authority over America. As it morphs, as it's a living/breathing, so they call it, document, we will no longer have any voice in what happens in our land. When people finally wake up they will find they will not have a choice, won't be able to determine the direction of their lives. States will no longer have their powers and their Constitutional freedoms. This document the Senate is poised to vote on, and they are close to passing, will allow the finishing of the shredding the Constitution and impose laws and restrictions on Americans as it progresses. For some reason, out of character for the majority of them, Republican leaders are on the side of the President. I feel they are acting in the interests of the Chamber of Commerce and some crony capitalists (there should be a free market, but not like they operate), as well, and they are the pressure behind this. It's not for the benefit of the American employee, as more and more people are brought in for cheap labor, or more jobs are shipped overseas, their jobs will disappear.
Today, Tuesday, is the most effective day, and very early Wednesday at the very latest, to CALL YOUR SENATORS to express your displeasure that Congress is even thinking of creating this environment in America. Selling out our sovereignty, flooding the country with foreign workers, jeopardizing American jobs, abdicating their power to a foreign or international governing body and a empowering further the president, creating a living agreement which can change at a whim with no Congressional approval, etc.
