JOB DESCRIPTION
Simple, black-line drawings are needed for beginning children's readers. Each booklet (35 total) is 4-8 pages. Each page has 1 drawing that clearly communicates the text. Minimal detail. Nothing to distract from the text.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to keep drawings simple to illustrate concepts.
Ability to develop a standardized character and repeat it in subsequent drawings. Also, develop a variety of characters.
Ability to work quickly on the project.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
4 SIMPLE BLACK LINE DRAWINGS each on 8.5. X 11 paper illustrating the following:
1) Mom met Tom (a dog)
2) Pop (as in "to explode")
3) Pop (as in "old man," "grandfather")
4) Pom-Pom (a dog who has a "pom-pom" type of tail)
All drawings to be made with Sharpie Fine Point (NOT Extra Fine) Pen -- Black. They need to be encased in a drawn (with the Sharpie) 4"x 6" box outline. Landscape format. These drawings need to communicate easily to a 3-6 year old. MUST be original artwork; not based on clip art or other visuals.
You could scan in a few other samples of your past work, but the 4 above are the minimum. Include your contact information: name, address, phone, email. Best time to contact.
